We provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary engineering services for municipal, distribution, and transformer stations, supporting utilities, load customers, and generation customers from planning and concept development through detailed design, construction, commissioning, energization, and asset renewal.

Our team combines expertise in electrical, protection and control, grounding, civil, structural, mechanical, telecommunications, and station automation engineering to deliver safe, reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions. Our experience includes greenfield and brownfield stations, station expansions and refurbishments, equipment replacement, generation and BESS interconnections, and modernization programs.

We work closely with utilities, Hydro One, the IESO, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet applicable utility requirements, CSA and IEEE standards, connection requirements, operational objectives, and project-specific requirements.

Engineering Services

Our transmission team provides engineering services for both overhead and underground installations, supporting projects from early planning and routing through detailed design and construction. NBM has industry experts with extensive transmission engineering experience, strengthening our technical capabilities and bringing valuable industry knowledge to our practice. We are progressively expanding our transmission capabilities and industry partnerships while maintaining the practical, responsive, and standards-driven approach that our clients have come to expect from NBM.
